Village Green, located in Dixon, California, was established in 1981. It is an architecturally unique planned unit development (PD) composed of 52 "garden homes."
Even though some City of Dixon and Solano County documents refer to Village Green as condos (and some Dixonites do, too), Village Green homes are not condos.
Unlike a condominium development, Village Green homeowners maintain their own houses, including all exterior features (house, fence, roof, gutters, etc.), following design rules set by the Village Green Homeowners Association. The HOA maintains the common area, including the landscaping, streets and sidewalks, lighting, mailboxes, swimming pool, spa and picnic area, ball courts, RV storage lot, parking areas, etc.
A five-person board of directors is responsible for community operations and maintenance, budgeting, strategic planning, adopting community standards and rules as needed, and ensuring that all homeowners and residents comply with the standards, guidelines and rules of the community.
Board meetings are held online, on the 3rd Wednesday of the month from 9:30AM to 11:30AM. Agendas are emailed to homeowners and posted on the office door a minimum of 4 days in advance.
